Stage 5 Learning (Year 9 - Year 10)

In NSW, Stage 5 (Years 9-10) students have the opportunity to select elective subjects in addition to the mandatory core subjects. These electives allow students to explore their interests and develop specific skills in areas that appeal to them.

Students are required to study a set of core subjects, which include: English, Maths, Science, HSIE and PDHPE. They are then required to select two electives to undertake each year. These can be chosen from the subjects below.

  • Visual Arts
  • Music
Technological and Applied Studies (TAS)
  • Textiles and Design
  • Design and Technology
  • Food Technology
  • Industrial Technology - Multimedia
Personal Development, Health and Physical Education
  • Physical Activity and Sports Studies (PASS)
Human Society and its Environment (HSIE)
  • Commerce
  • History Elective
